Summer time fun
I wanted to post some of my recent pictures.
First off my sprouts. I learned off of a post on FB about these cool egg shell plant starters. So I wanted to try it. Though yes these are meant to be transplanted into the ground and thats not what I did. Mine went into a hanging basket. But it still works all the same and from what I have read the shell gives nutrition to the plant as it grows. If you go to make these yourself don't forget to take a tac and poke a pin hole in the bottom of the shell for drainage.
They are bachelor buttons. I forgot to see how tall they get haha XD I hope they arent too tall for their basket. I got my soil at the dollar tree and my hanging basket at wall-mart in lawn and garden for about two dollars.
Here we have an apple strusel I made from an internet recepie. I was dying for something sweet and all I had was Bisquick and apples. I was not crazy over it. The main part of the bread called for two TBS's of sugar which seemed too little. I was right it wasn't very sweet so Craig and I ate all the strusel part off of it Haha.
Next time I get a chance I will show you my hand washing laundry set up I have. I now have my system set up so that the only laundry we take to the luandry-o-mat is our socks and undies and comforters. Which means yes I manage to do ALL our laundry even towels by hand. (it isn't as bad as it sounds)
I read on Momaroo about a cloth diaper hand washing challenge going on. It sounds terrifying at first but wow it really is so much better if you are capable. I was either on "Just Mommies" or "Baby and Bump" when I found out about the real ins and outs of hand washing. Previously I was bruising up my knees and breaking my back over the bathtub trying to hand wash just a small amount of shirts! Anyway! More about that next time.
There was a travelling zoo thing in town....but we have to go shopping now so I'll talk about that in a separate blog.
